
Jeanette Wachtman is a visual artist, an art educator and author. She has received numerous awards in juried exhibitions. Her watercolor paintings, jewelry, pottery, mixed media artwork and photography have been exhibited in art galleries, one-woman and national venues. She is well known for her paintings of Native American portraits.

She is a retired elementary school art teacher. Her love of travel influenced her teaching career and art. She has received many teaching awards including the Southeastern Elementary Art Educator Award 1999 from the National Art Education Association and
Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Award 2016, College of Arts, School of Art and Design from Kennesaw State University, Ga.

Ms. Wachtman during her teaching career wrote many interactive story books using rhyming verses for student use in her art classes. She authored Art for the Elementary Educator, A Teacher’s Workbook for Writing Integrated Lessons, published by Kendall-Hunt Publishing Company, in 2016. This textbook was authored for a Kennesaw State University Art Education course.
